Amay Patnaik is an IRS officer, transferred to Lucknow as Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax. He lives a peaceful and happy live with his beautiful wife Malini until one day he receives anonymous information about large amount of black money, hidden by the Rameshwar Singhn - a powerful Member of the Parliament and don of Sitagarh. A clash between Amay’s team and Rameshwar family follows but the Deputy Commissioner is not able to prove the existence of such money, even if he and his men search every corner, each hole at Rameshwar premises. Very soon, when Amay loses hope and feels defeated, he receives an anonymous letter, informing him about the exact location of the money in the house with a map enclosed. Rameshwar ends up in jail, wondering who the secret informer was.
