As authoritarian leaders are coming to power, anti-abortion movements are gaining ground and the climate threat is lurking in the background, Margaret Atwood's work has experienced a revival. With the TV version of the dystopian 'The Handmaid's Tale', Atwood's name has been cemented worldwide. In this portrait film, we follow the indomitable 80-year-old Atwood on her tour around the world in connection with the long-awaited release of 'The Testaments'. The film gives us a heart-warming insight into a life centred around Atwood's passion for literature, politics and nature. Through archive footage and interviews, we are shown a picture of a woman who throughout her life has said what she means – and put actions behind her words.
