" Instruktør, manustripforfatter og skuespiller Jordan Peele er et hot navn i Hollywood. Hans gyserfilm ”Get Out” fra 2017 vandt en Oscar for bedste originale manuskript, og nu er han tilbage i den hårrejsende genre. Han nye film ”Us” handler om en amerikansk familie, der møder deres værste mareridt – deres dobbeltgængere. Peele har udtalt, at filmen er inspireret af et afsnit af The Twilight Zone ved navn ”Mirror Image”, og ”Us” leger med temaet om, at du selv er din værste fjende. Udover den direkte inspiration fra The Twilight Zone så var Peele også inspireret af en lang række andre klassiske gyserfilm, og han bad endda Lupita Nyong'o, der spiller moren i familien, om bl.a. at se The Shining, It Follows, Funny Games, Let the Right One In og The Sixth Sense for at forberede sig til rollen. "

How would you feel if you go on a vacation with your loved ones and all of sudden you get confronted by a group of strangers who look exactly like you? Especially if these are some twisted versions of you and your family members who do all the crazy things imaginable and non-imaginable to get you out of your mind, to brutally kill you. In this psychological horror triller we will see Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke as the WIlsons with their kids, Elisabeth Moss and Tim Heidecker as the Tylors, to fight not only for their life but also to keep their sanity. Who are these doppelgängers and what exactly do they want? Not all the nightmares happen at night.
