Brad Pitt i ny sci-fi film
" Brad Pitt er ikke aktuel i én men hele to film i 2019. Udover rollen som Cliff Booth i Quentin Tarantinos kommende film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, så spiller han også hovedrollen i den kommende science fiction-film Ad Astra. Filmen er instrueret af James Gray og handler om en astronaut, der er nødt til at rejse galaksen rundt, for at finde sin far der forsvandt 20 år tidligere og muligvis har svaret på de mærkelige fænomener, der pludselig er begyndt at forekomme på jorden. Udover Pitt har filmen også Tommy Lee Jones, Liv Tyler og Donald Sutherland på rollelisten. Ad Astra får dansk biografpremiere den 19. september. "

Brad Pitt is Roy McBride, an Army Corps space engineer who follows his father in an interstellar journey to the edge of the Solar System. McBride makes this decision twenty years after his father’s departure, looking for answers that, apparently, cannot be found on Earth. One of them is to try to understand what made his father’s mission a failure. And the mission was to find intelligent life on Neptune. As McBride advances along the way, he starts uncovering surprising secrets, some of which may reveal a dangerous threat to life on Earth. What is interesting about this sci-fi film is that it has a lighting scheme and color palette, similar to Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar”. By the way, the phrase ‘Ad astra’ means ‘to the stars’ in Latin.
