Genren har fået et tiltrængt løft af MeToo debatten og den generelle tendens til mere inklusion i populære hollywoodfilm, hvilket betyder mere interessante karakterer og nye unikke historier. Blandt de romantiske komedier, som vi ser allermest frem til i 2020 er ’In the Heights’, ’Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar’, ’Happiest Season’ og ’The High Note’ med Tracee Ellis Ross, Ice Cube, Dakota Johnson og Diplo. Hit musical til det store lærred
" Musical aficionados har nok hørt om ’Hamilton’, men Lin-Manuel Miranda der stod bag musikken til Hamilton har lavet meget andet. Bl.a. musikken til filmene ’Vaiana’ og ’Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ samt musicalen ’In the Heights’, som nu bliver til en spillefilm. Filmen handler om drømme og savnet mod hjem. På rollelisten finder vi en lang række store latinamerikanske skuespillere så som Anthony Ramos, Leslie Grace, Melissa Barrera, Olga Merediz, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Stephanie Beatriz, Dascha Polanco og Jimmy Smits. ’In the Heights’ får dansk biografpremiere den 6. august. "

Hit musical hits the big screen
" Musical aficionados have probably heard of ‘Hamilton’, but Lin-Manuel Miranda who was behind the music to Hamilton has also done so much more. Amongst other things, the music to the movies ’Vaiana’ and ’Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ plus music to the musical ‘In the Heights’, which is now becoming a movie. The movie is about dreams and missing home. Among the cast we find great Latin-American actors like Anthony Ramos, Leslie Grace, Melissa Barrera, Olga Merediz, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Stephanie Beatriz, Dascha Polanco and Jimmy Smits. ‘In the Heights’ will premiere in Danish cinemas on the 6th of August.
