EditGreta (2018)

With its big-name cast, lead by the talented Isabelle Huppert (the most nominated actress for the César Award), and including Chloe Grace Moretz, Maika Monroe, and Stephen Rea, “The Widow” is a drama, filmed in and around Dublin. It tells the story of Frances (Moretz), a young woman who becomes involved in an unusual relationship with an elderly widow (Huppert) with enigmatic personality. They first meet when she returns the lost purse of the widow and since that moment Frances falls under the influence of the elderly lady. However, as it often happens in life, it soon becomes obvious that there is something wrong in this relationship. Thanks to a collaborator who is playing a private detective (Rea), the young woman soon discovers that this particular widow may not have good intention to her.
