You Man-su has worked as a specialist in the paper industry for 25 years. He lives a seemingly happy family life with his wife Mi-ri, their two children and two dogs. Suddenly, Man-su is laid off from his company – a decision that throws his life into chaos. An opportunity arises at a competing paper company, Moon Paper, to which Man-su submits his CV. When he finds himself denied the opportunity due to internal political decisions, he takes matters into his own hands... No Other Choice had its world premiere in competition at the Venice Film Festival 2025, where it received rave reviews and has since played at festivals including Toronto, New York and Busan. The film is widely considered an Oscar front-runner in the Best International Feature category, and IndieWire even has it on its list of favorites for an Oscar nomination in the prestigious BEST FILM category.
