Den dag på stranden

Sensitivt britisk drama efter romanen "Ved Chesil Beach" af Ian McEwan, forfatteren bag "Soning" instrueret af Dominic Cooke med dobbelt Oscar-nominerede Saoirse Ronan ("Brooklyn" & "Soning"), Billy Howle ("Dunkirk" & "Når noget slutter") og Emily Watson (Oscar-nomineret for "Breaking the Waves" & "Hilary og Jackie"). Filmen er betagende smukt fotograferet af Sean Bobbitt ("12 Years a Slave", "Hysteria" & "Shame"). "It's a lyrical and raptorous film - a repressed passion play, funny, delicate and heartbreaking" Variety Stedet er Dorset i Sydengland.

Sometimes love is the problem. For everything. These recent university graduates Florence - a classical musician from a wealthy family, and Edwards - a provincial boy with a ‘disordered’ mother, make a beautiful beginning. Then? An unexpected inability to consummate their marriage tears them apart. Is this the end?
